Welcome to Biofine Europe BioFine Europe 2008 was held in Freiburg on April 10 and 11, the feedback we have had from speakers, exhibitors and delegates has been very positive and clearly established BioFine as an important and effective event in the life science calendar. Through the 4 conference tracks and exhibition we had almost 300 participants.
New for this year were the Strategies for Life Science Clusters Development and the 1 day Synthetic Biology conference tracks, both of which had a good impact on the coverage and quality of BioFine. Both of these tracks will be developed at future BioFine events. The New Directions in Molecular Genomics and Genetics conference organised by the University of Freiburg was very well attended and thank you to the university for running this in conjunction with BioFine.
Our partnerships with BioValley, The University of Freiburg, ATG Biosynthetics and Novasep really benefited the event and the networking reception for speakers was well attended. Judging by the feedback from many of you, the wine tasting on the Thursday evening was a truly memorable occasion giving you the opportunity of meeting colleagues in a relaxed and refined environment.
Bearing in mind the success of the event we have decided to hold the 2009 BioFine Europe in Freiburg again on April 16 and 17 at the same venue. We are also planning our 2008 US event in Florida on December 3 and 4. Conference tracks for this will include Chemical Process Design, Synthetic Biology and Life Science Clusters. If you are interested in exhibiting, speaking or being a delegate at either of our events then please contact any one of the avakado team.
